Lenalidomide Capsule belongs to the group of medicines known as Immunomodulatory agents. Generic Lenalidomide is indicated to treat adults with multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma, myelodysplastic syndrome and follicular lymphoma. Multiple myeloma refers to the cancerous progression of plasma cells that are predominant in the bone marrow. These cells gather in the bone marrow and split uncontrollably.

This type of cancer cannot be cured; however, the symptoms can be alleviated. Myelodysplastic Syndrome is a group of various blood and bone marrow diseases, where the blood cells become abnormal and do not function properly. Mantle cell lymphoma is a less common type of cancer that affects the lymph nodes. Follicular lymphoma is a slow-growing cancer that affects the B cells.

Therapeutic Effects of Lenalidomide Capsule

It activates T cells and natural killer cells of the immune system and facilitates the attack on cancer cells. It works by antagonizing the growth of blood vessels in the cancer cells and delays the development of cancer cells. It inhibits growth and multiplication of tumor cells.

Interaction of Lenalidomide Capsule with other drugs

Inform your doctor about any prescribed medicines, over-the-counter medications, nutritional and vitamin supplements, or herbal products that you are taking or have taken before the treatment. Certain medications may interact with Lenalidomide 10 mg Capsule and cause undesirable side effects.
